2 Dog Knot
A name given to knots used by some winders, warpers and reelers, in tying threads. Two kinds of dog knots are in use, their defect being that both loose ends are passed through the knot together. This makes a bulky knot that does not easily pass through healds and reeds and is objectionable even when it gets in the cloth. -
